Demonstrators

TRAPEZE’s proposed scalable policy-aware Linked Data architecture will be developed and evaluated under real-world conditions not only in terms of functionality requirements which are driven by three pilot scenarios from our use case partners, but also in terms of non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability and security. All three pilots involve the processing and aggregation of large amounts of personal data from various data sources, with policies specified at different levels of granularity.

PILOT 1:
Mijn Burgerprofiel / My Citizen Profile (Flanders, Belgium)
Sector: Government / administration

PILOT 2:
Deutsche Telekom “Data Intelligence Hub”
Sector: Telecom and IT services

PILOT 3:
CaixaBank’s ID Wallet
Sector: Banking and financial services

TRAPEZE Explanations

TRAPEZE’s generic explanation engine constructs a JSON document that describes the reasons for compliance and non-compliance. The explanation engine handles all the compliance checking logic, therefore context-specific explanation interfaces can be designed by focusing on presentation and navigation aspects only, in order to produce user-friendly explanations.

Collaborations

TRAPEZE is establishing meaningful cooperation with other projects and initiatives.

TRAPEZE brings together over a decade worth of EU-funded research in security and privacy, as well as proprietary solutions and know-how, towards marketable innovations. It builds on the results of successful projects like SPECIAL, COMPACT, PrimeLife, and Big Data Europe, and exploits their results in order to advance the state of the art in data protection. Furthermore, it plans to address some of the outstanding real-world challenges around the implementation of the GDPR and the NIS directive. These goals and the accompanying approach are widely supported by industry and academia alike.
